BUGABOO BEE5 REVIEW

I was one of those parents who thinks strollers are useful only for the first year, boy was I wrong! Now with my son approaching his 16th month on earth, the need to have a strong sturdy stroller-while at the same time compact enough to be hauled from one place to another-has never been more real. 

Actually, we have own a stroller already, and we can safely say now that when we choose that one, we didn’t sleep on it. We thought if it looks good and light enough to carry around, we’re down. But when your kid is starting to become more and more active (fabulous two alert) and is getting heavier by the day…

I kid you not, you would want good suspension and maneuverability… Especially when you’re like us… wanting your child to go to places like museums, parks and other outdoor spaces. 

So we tried the Bugaboo Bee 5, and from the first grip, we  notice the differences already! With four wheel suspension, this baby makes pushing strollers a stroll (pun intended), its easily maneuverable  and it has that grit that makes turning and navigating a breeze.

Now, whether it be on a mall’s floor, a park’s field or even in uneven asphalt… it makes little difference. Stable, smooth and very comfortable! We used to walk carefully so as to not wake Trah when we came across a bump, now, not so much. 

The seating is also roomier, we think we’re safe for at least 2 – 3 years down the road.

It weight 8.7kg, not as light as our previous one, but it more than make up for it due to its sturdy build and (again) manoeuvrability. And despite its weight, its easily foldable and compact enough to be stashed in the back of our car, with room to spare (we drive an Avanza), and its not difficult to carry when travelling using Commuter Line. 

And on top of all that, its customizable! We can mix and match…and it has a range of options for its canopy, seat, and grids. As us mommies wants to stay stylish while spending time with our kids, this certainly a plus. Oh and one more thing, when we are ready for Trah to have a younger brother, we can use the Bee 5 for newborns, with option for additional bassinet and all.

For us, the Bugaboo Bee 5 is of the most comfortable and stylish stroller we’ve ever tried! We have the smoothest ride! Without those mild annoyances in most compact strollers, we won’t be distracted from what really matters: spending an enjoyable time with our kids.

Aku rupanya adalah salah satu orang tua yang mikir stroller tuh cuma dipake di 1 tahun pertama, eh ternyata setelah Trah sekarang berusia 16 bulan dan demen jalan kesana-kemari, dugaanku salah, justru di usia usia gini sangat butuh stroller yang mumpuni dan kokoh.

Kami memang sudah punya stroller, dan bisa dikatakan waktu memilih stroller saat itu aku & suami tidak berpikir panjang, lebih ke yang asal ada aja & ringan. Tapi ketika anak udah mulai banyak tingkah (baca: memasuki masa fabulous two) dan lebih berat (yang sering bikin encok mak bapaknya), suspensi & manuver dari sebuah stroller itu penting banget, apalagi aku & keluarga tergolong suka berpergian ke banyak tempat, bukan cuma mall tapi ruangan terbuka lainnya (taman dll). Selain itu, ada kebutuhan karena Trah nampak ‘kesempitan’ di stroller yang sekarang.

Akhirnya aku & suami nyobain Bugaboo Bee5 dan dalam dorongan pertama udah kerasa bedaaa dan nyamaaaan banget! Bugaboo Bee5 punya four wheel suspension; dan suspensi serta manuver dari stroller ini yang bikin aku jatuh hati, bahkan hanya dengan hanya 1 tangan aku bisa dorong dan belok-belokin stroller dengan mulus.

Sekarang mau di lantai mall/ taman/ jalan yang tidak rata…..sensasinya sama, stabil, smooth, dan nyaman banget! Biasanya kalo dia tertidur dan jalannya ga rata, dia kebangun, tapi di Bugaboo Bee5 dia tetep anteng di dalem.

Bagian seatnya juga lebih lega dan lebih besar, dan aku yakin nanti ketika anak aku usia 2 – 3 tahun masih tetep cukup nih.

Berat strollernya 8,7 kg, not as light as our previous stroller tapi untuk kekokohan jauh berbeda. Saat dilipat juga lebih ringkas & compact, bisa dengan 1 tangan. Kalau ditaro di bagasi, masih ada space yang lebih luas untuk barang lain, dan ketika kami menggunakan commuter line tidak terlalu menghabiskan space.

Satu lagi yang jadi bonus buat aku adalah, customizable! Bisa ganti-ganti design kanopi, seat, grids (pegangan). Sebagai ibu ibu yang ingin terlihat stylish sepanjang waktu bersama anak, ini point plus banget. Oiya kalau nanti ketika ada anak kedua, bisa tambah bassinet dan stroller ini bisa dipakai dia juga dari newborn.

Menurutku, Bugaboo Bee5 ini stroller paling comfortable & stylish! The smoothest ride, ever! Ga cuma buat anak yang dibuat nyaman di dalamnya, tapi juga orang tua yang menggunakannya 😀
